Twenty years experience as a tutor of multiple subjects, beginning as high school math peer tutor. I have seen so much success with tutoring that I founded a middle school peer tutoring program. What is most important to me is being good at building relationships and engaging students in difficult subject matter. I love kids, and I love helping them learn and succeed. My Doctorate of Education is in Instructional Leadership, so I have LOADS of teaching strategies for all learning styles. I have helped students who struggle with assignments as well as provided special enrichment activities for gifted students. My students achieved the highest Civics standardized test scores in the state of Florida 2018-2019

Hobbies
My biggest hobby is writing plays and lyrics for musical theater. I love it so much that I made learning through lyrics the subject of my doctoral dissertation. I created curriculum for English Language Arts and Social Studies that is interactive, rhymes, and gives everyone a part! (You can see it all at www.readrhymerepeat.com). It has proven to be a highly effective instructional strategy, and I love creating new scripts for students based on what they are studying. I'm also an experienced Pilates teacher. When I have a hobby, I want to learn as much as I can about it. My Pilates hobby turned into teaching! My dog also brings me great joy. I have a special bond with her because we are the only two females in my family of boys!
